Yes, the 'Coupe has been treating me well - and I've been treating it well. I had the wings redone by a guy who works "magic" with fabric. One day this fall watch for an article on the whole process (I took pictures along the way). I also moved to a hangar at Ocean City (OXB). Maybe one day this fall I'll fly north along the coast - all the way to Tom's River. Good to hear from you, Bill. Yes, the ‘Coupe has been treating me well – and I’ve been treating it well. I go up with my old friend occasionally but nothing was/is like flying the coupe....it sure is getting expensive to rent and someday when the economy gets better (and overtime lol) I can see myself getting another coupe....I would love to go up with you if you ever get to the Shore again...thanks... Yes, I am certainly enjoying the ol' gal. I say "old" very gently because she just turned 64 yesterday (August 16, 1020). She did great at her last Annual, which I had moved to late winter to not "interrupt" summer flying. At annual the year before I had replaced the exhaust/muffler with stainless. Everything checked our fine this year - a routine annual - except I had the nose bowl replaced and had the 1320# STC done. So I can now carry a bit more fuel when flying with a passenger. I have (just about completely) decided to make this my last airplane and bring her back to pristine condition. I am planning to have the wings recovered this coming winter and then see if the budget allows for an engine rebuild and upgrade the following year. I hope you have moved on "up: and gotten your Private and are still flying.
