Ercoupes landing at Oshkosh – 2008
by Bill ~ February 18th, 2009. Filed under: Flying Video.I have not yet had an opportunity to go to AirVentures in Oshkosh – and don’t know if I’ll ever take my Ercoupe that far. However it would be fun to watch the ‘Coupes landing one right after the other.
Jose Gilbert, of Vero Beach, recently uploaded this video to share such a happening. He did a fine job of conveying the spirit of Ercoupers. I found the original link on the Ercoupe Tech Group on Yahoo Groups.

WOW! That was a lot of ‘coupes! That video (and listening to ATC) gave me goosebumps, brought me back to my visit to AirVenture in 2008. Nice find.

I love this video, and am planning to get my PPL in the coming Spring or Summer. I really hope to find a good Ercoupe to buy after that. They are beautiful airplanes.

Jonas, Just happened to see your message on e-mail.
Sure have the Cadillac of Ercoupes. 1966 Ercoupe, Alon A-2. Factory rudder pedals 90 hp engine, sliding canopy, only 200+ manufactured. Land at a new airport, lots of on-lookers come over.
Have owned this baby for four years, everything up to date. Current annual, Dec., 2009. Oh well, if interested, let me know. We are talking about $25,000.
